Collection Financing

While there is no participation fee associated with Threadfair 2018, designers must be entirely self-financed and Threadfair 2018 cannot assist in providing funds or resources to designers to create their collections.
Threadfair is independent from any AISD school and thus is entirely independently financed, and seeks its own sponsors each year to finance the show. Though in the future Threadfair would like to have the ability to provide its designers with assistance in creating their collections, Threadfair 2018 is unable to do so.

Recommendations for Financing a Collection

Individual designers may seek individual sponsorship for their collections. Threadfair 2018 would recommend contacting local sewing schools or boutiques. Threadfair 2018 is very willing to provide such sponsorship with recognition in the final show program etc.

Individuals are also encouraged to find resources - sewing machines, fabric, etc - at a discounted price. By contacting local sewing schools or fabric shops, designers may be able to find discounts and save money as they create their collections.
